Music Co-ordinator - Miss Cooper
Governor-Mr Denzil Shepherd

The new Curriculum for 2014 onwards sees a few changes for music.
The main changes to be noted are as follows:
  • Each child will have the opportunity to learn to play a tuned instrument (KS1 xylophones, KS2 Recorders)
  • A greater emphasis is placed on the teaching and learning of the history of music, including studying famous composers from historical periods.
We will continue to follow our scheme of music express, with added units where children are taught to play the tuned instruments.
Within history topics, the children will be taught about composers and music from that period.

If you are interested in purchasing additional music lessons for your child, we offer private music tuition for various instruments. Please see the Ladies in the office for more information.

Thanks to a generous donation from the PTFA we have been able to subscribe to SING UP which provides a super resource for children during singing worships and also in their topics.

Please click the links below for some fun interactive games your child can play on the internet.
